General Electric C30-7 Burlington Northern pack

A new locomotive livery from Virtual Rail Creations! This release complements the CSX C30-7 that is sold on Steam, but it is NOT sponsored nor sold by Dovetail Games or Steam (please read the EULA and disclaimer are the bottom of this page), and has not been through their rigorous QA program. Also, some features that were proprietary to Dovetail Games’s version will not be available with this unit. Distribution of this add-on for Train Simulator 2017 is the sole responsibility of Virtual Rail Creations.

Burlington Northern

Burlington Northern railroad was the second largest purchaser of General Electric’s C30-7 locomotive, with 242 units on it’s roster. These locomotives pulled tonnage all across the American west, but were specifically purchased by the company for pulling long and heavy coal drags out of the Powder River Basin. The locomotives excelled in this service, and many of them lasted through the BNSF merger and later served other railroads in the aftermarket. VRC brings you these locomotives that are officially licensed by BNSF, for your enjoyment with TrainSimulator 2017!

Package Details:

  • C30-7 Burlington Northern scheme with beacon light, clean and dirty.
  • C30-7 Burlington Northern scheme with ditch lights, clean and dirty.
  • C30-7 Burlington Northern High-Visibility scheme with strobe lights.
  • Complete cab view, advanced start up, beacon warning lights, HOTD/EOT (works with or without the EOT that comes with the CSX unit, sold separately).
  • New experimental feature – three blueprints that allow the locomotives to pre-start in scenarios.
  • All units come with snow textures for winter engineering.
  • Quick Drive compatible
  • Manual that includes advanced operation of the locomotive.

General Electric C30-7 Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe pack

A new locomotive livery from Virtual Rail Creations! This release complements the CSX C30-7 that is sold on Steam, but it is NOT sponsored nor sold by Dovetail Games or Steam (please read the EULA and disclaimer are the bottom of this page), and has not been through their rigorous QA program. Distribution of this add-on for Train Simulator 2017 is the sole responsibility of Virtual Rail Creations.

Santa Fe

The Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad was the third largest purchaser of General Electric’s C30-7 locomotive, with 157 units on it’s roster. These locomotives pulled tonnage all across the American southwest, and were even players in one of the strangest dramas in American railroading – the failed Southern Pacific Santa Fe merger. More than simple repaints, VRC brings you these locomotives that are officially licensed by BNSF, for your enjoyment with TrainSimulator 2017!

General Electric U28CG Santa Fe add-on pack

Returning for your digital railfanning pleasure is the original U30C from Virtual Rail Creations! These were released as add-ons in early 2016, but were pulled while the U30C Chessie was being reworked for sale on Steam. This is the original “unimproved” version – it is NOT sponsored nor sold by Dovetail Games (please read the EULA and disclaimer are the bottom of this page), and has not been through their rigorous QA program. The only changes that have been made to it are so that it does not require the VRC Conrail or the DTG Chessie U30C’s in order to run – it is a standalone download.

Santa Fe

In 1966, with the death of passenger railroading on the horizon, no locomotive maker offered a unit specifically for passenger service. At their request, General Electric adapted a freight locomotive specifically for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad for passenger service. Now, VRC has recreated the U28CG in Warbonnet paint for TrainSimulator 2016.

Package Details:

  • U28CG Santa Fe passenger scheme (1966-1968)
  • U28CG Santa Fe freight scheme, clean and dirty (1968-1972).
  • U28CG Santa Fe “Blue Bonnet” freight scheme, clean and dirty (1972-1980)
  • Complete cab view, with Pyle Controller for units that are equipped with Mars lights.
  • All units come with snow textures for winter engineering.
  • Quick Drive compatible
  • Updated manual that includes advanced operation of the locomotive.

Price: $8.00 USD
